About Us

The Michael and Cecilia Foundation (MCF) is a not-for-profit registered in Nigeria in April 2006. As an independent legal entity, MCF is led by a dedicated board that is committed to the foundation's core values, vision, and mission. At the heart of our work is a drive to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education by promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. The foundation is located in Agbarha-Otor, Ughelli North local government, Delta state.

MCF was born out of a strong desire to transform lives and make a positive impact at the community level through strategic interventions that lead to meaningful outcomes.

Our mission is to empower individuals and communities through functional and quality education, good health care services and other social protection programs that will guarantee the reduction of poverty to foster all-round development of Nigeria and other societies.

We envision a world where all members of human society have the opportunity to participate, contribute and achieve their fullest potentials.

Our Approach

We carry out our initiatives through client-based services, case management for social service, provision of education, vocational training and skill acquisition, programs, leadership academy, outreaches, seminars, and empowerment programs. We support the development of effective, innovative, and entrepreneurial human capital by enhancing access to education and other opportunities.

Our Focal Areas

Our primary target beneficiaries include indigent children in Delta State, teenage mothers, girls, and women and other disadvantaged Nigerians. We are focused on providing them with education, vocational training, rehabilitation, and health services. We also offer disaster relief, orphanage services, and prison outreach.
